Fall is upon us, and with the return of Autumn comes the return of chunky cable knit sweaters, oversized jean jackets, and washed denims. We put together a Fall 17 Lookbook with hand-picked styles that emphasize the hottest trends of the season.
Look 1: The first look features Aria in a Boohoo chunky cable knit sweater from ASOS, Farleigh high waist slim mom jeans in washed black with busted knees, office London sock heeled ankle boots, and a studded leather backpack from Zara.
The Boohoo chunky cable knit sweater is in a bright red, which is trend # 1 for this season. Shades of red are always in season, but the classic bright red is a popular statement color for Fall.
Paired with the red cable knit sweater is a mom jean in washed black with rips at the knee. Last year was all about the high-waisted skinny jeans and athleisure sweatpants, but the mom jean is the hottest style in denim right now. Models like Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner have made them famous again, and celebs such as Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus have been spotted rocking them.
To top of the outfit is the office London sock heeled ankle boots from ASOS in black, and a studded leather bag. Sock boots are another returning trend that are back for the season. They add a chicness to the look. The studded bag in a circle shape is small and compact, trendy, and cute; perfect for a small accessory to add flare to the outfit.
Look 2: This look features Athena in a River Island midi jumper dress from ASOS with a studded oversized longline studded denim trucker jacket from Missguided. Suede drawstring tie chunky heeled over-the-knee boots from Urbanog complete the look.
The balloon sleeve and high neck on the River Island midi jumper dress are essential details to bring the dress to trend. To top it off, the hand feel is soft and luxurious.
Studs have been popular in fashion for years now, but adding them on an oversized jean jacket created a hot new trend for this season. Trucker jackets are being sported on some of the top models in the industry and trickled down from celebs and top models, to college students and young professionals for that easy, casual look.
Over the knee boots are yet another recurring trend that kills it in the outfit department, especially when paired with sweater dresses or skirts. That’s why we gave Athena a classic black faux suede over the knee boot with a 4-inch heel.
Look 3: Andrea rocks a knitted jumper with choker cut out from Fashion Union, patchwork effect fabric jacket from Zara, Asos Farleigh slim mom jeans in midwash with side tabs and split hem and eminent patent leather nude booties from Steve Madden.
The rib knit sweater with choker cut out carries that same choker cut out trend from last year, but adds the bell sleeve which is becoming even more popular this season.
Faux fur patches in earthy tones just scream Autumn vibes, and the patchwork effect fabric jacket from Zara absolutely nailed that on the head.
Circling back to the mom jean, Andrea sports the washed blue mom jean with side tabs, to add detail to the classic style denim. The blue mid-wash mom jean can be paired with almost any look for Fall.
The eminent patent leather nude booties from Steve Madden carry that nude color trend in boots that Kim Kardashian made famous, and add the clear 4-inch heel to the back for an even more chic and daring look.
